Stila, pronounced "STEE-la" was founded by celebrity make-up artist Jeanine Lobell in 1994, and is now owned by Estee Lauder. They have very cute girly packaging, which I will admit first attracted me to them when I was oh, maybe 16. I first tried them out by buying a shimmer cream that had been recommended in a fashion magazine. Over the last 14 years, I have used eye shadows, eye liners, lip glosses, lip stains, etc made by Stila and I have never been disappointed. Here's the thing about Stila. Everything is made to enhance your natural beauty. They make georgous shimmery, complimentary creations in shades of cream, taupe, browns, and grays, with a few funky colors thrown in (but not so much, its not Mac!).
A must-have for a day at the beach, a tropical holiday or anytime you show a little skin. The dry oil formula adds a gorgeous natural looking tint with a hint of glistening shimmer. It's formulated with macadamia and jojoba nut, sandalwood and barley extracts for fabulous moisturization.
To get the red carpet after sun glow, shake bottle well, and spray 2 or 3 pumps into palm of your hands to apply and blend with fingers. Let it dry before putting on your perfect outfit.
Anyway, it is carried at Sephora and Ulta, unfortunately no longer at department stores. (and nowhere in Utah anymore, more's the pity for my Ut girls, but order online, or come visit me)

I have never tried anything of theirs but I have to admit everytime I have seen it the packaging has caught my eye. I would like to try it. What single one product would you say is your favorite and I will order it?
I know you can find it in Vegas, if you are going any time soon. But, if you were just going to order one thing, my favorite is the lip stain. I don't know if you have used one before, but I think it is so handy for application before going out to eat, or I do before church a lot too because I know I won't remember to reapply gloss. I have never been disappointed by them though if there is something you are interested on their site, I wouldn't be afraid to try it.
That's funny, if you were to ask me to name one make up product Brandy always uses, I would say lip stain, right off. I think I might try both of these. I'll let you know.

Ok Brandi, this is the first time i have even seen this site and i must say i could use your help in the makeup area! I don't know a thing about makeup, or where to apply it and what would blend the best over my stupid blue marks under my eyes! Maybe i can get your makeup book!!

brandi, i have been using a trashy stain-like product (cover girl outlast lipcolor) for like eight years and i like it, but have always hoped there was a better product out there. curse that there is no sephora here!
i remember the charming girl with whom you roomed, and i remember her elation at receiving that birthday gift. no pressure, but if you wanted to post a coupla suggestions about the "right" way to do eye makeup, i'd be most obliged. i kinda just slam on some eyeliner and mascara since they are the least intimidating, but somehow i sense there's a whole creative world i'm missing out on...
just a thought. this blog is a fun idea.
